Surface Mounted LED Panel Light,
No Ceiling Cutting Required — UP47R Round DOB Downlight
If your project has a ceiling that can’t be cut — a concrete slab, a fire-rated ceiling, or a retrofit job where recessed installation isn’t an option — UP47R is a surface mounted LED panel light built to screw straight onto the ceiling surface. It carries over the same light engine as our recessed DOB panel range: a PS light guide plate that spreads the SMD chip’s output evenly across the face of the fixture, paired with a DOB integrated driver, all in a lightweight plastic housing. Offered in 6W–24W, with OEM/ODM support for importers, distributors and lighting contractors sourcing a no-cut ceiling light supplier.
Datasheet at a Glance
Everything a buyer checks first — mounting type, driver type, housing and optics — before requesting samples. Wattage-specific output figures and overall sizes are listed further down.
No Ceiling Cutting, Same Even-Light Design
A surface mounted LED panel light for concrete ceilings and retrofit renovation solves a problem recessed fixtures can’t: no hole to cut, no risk of hitting rebar or conduit — while keeping the same guide-plate optics and DOB driver as our recessed range.
PS Light Guide Plate
Light from the SMD chip is spread edge-to-edge across a polystyrene guide plate, giving a soft, evenly diffused glow across the whole face rather than a visible point source.
DOB Integrated Driver
Driver circuitry is built onto the light source board, removing the external driver box. Fewer connection points, faster installation, and a slimmer overall profile.
Lightweight Plastic Housing
A plastic body keeps unit weight low for easier handling and shipping, with a stepped base plate that mounts flush to the ceiling surface.
No Cutting Required
Screw-mount installation onto the ceiling surface — no hole cutting, no recess depth to plan for, and no risk of hitting rebar or conduit inside a concrete slab.
What’s Inside the Fixture
Three components a technical buyer usually asks about before approving a spec sheet.
PS Light Guide Plate
A polystyrene guide plate distributes light from the SMD source across the entire face of the fixture, producing an even glow rather than a visible hot spot.
SMD Chip
The SMD light source sits behind the guide plate with the DOB driver on the same board, feeding light evenly into the diffusion layer.
Plastic Housing
A lightweight plastic body holds the light engine, with a stepped base plate that screws flush to the ceiling — no recess or cutting required.
Guide Plate + DOB — What It Means for Your Project
Why a Light Guide Plate
Rather than exposing the SMD chip directly, UP47R channels light through a PS guide plate first — the same principle used in slim panel lighting to eliminate visible hot spots and give a flatter, more uniform light output across the face of the fixture.
DOB Integrated Driver
Driver-On-Board mounts the driver circuit directly to the light source PCB, so there’s no separate driver enclosure to wire in. On a surface-mounted fixture this keeps the base plate slim and installation quick — just wire and screw to the ceiling.
Wattage & Output Comparison
UP47R is available in 6W, 9W, 12W, 18W and 24W. As a surface-mounted fixture there is no cut-out size to plan for — select by required overall diameter and target illuminance.

Questions Buyers Usually Ask
Can I install an LED panel light without cutting the ceiling?
Yes — that’s exactly what a surface mounted panel light like UP47R is for. Instead of recessing into a hole cut in the ceiling, it screws directly onto the ceiling surface using its base plate, which is the standard approach for concrete slabs, fire-rated ceilings and retrofit jobs where cutting isn’t practical.
What’s the difference between UP47R and a recessed panel light?
UP47R mounts flush to the ceiling surface with screws — no hole cutting or recess depth required. It suits concrete ceilings, retrofit jobs, and situations where cutting into the ceiling isn’t allowed or practical.
What’s the difference between this and a standard SMD downlight?
UP47R routes light through a PS guide plate before it reaches the diffuser, giving a flatter, more evenly lit face compared to a fixture where the SMD chips are visible directly behind the cover.
Is UP47R dimmable?
The standard version is non-dimmable. A dimmable driver can be arranged as a custom option — let us know your dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) when requesting a quote.
What certification documentation is available?
Test reports and compliance documentation for UP47R are available on request — let us know your destination market and we’ll confirm exactly what applies to your order.
Do you support OEM/ODM and small trial orders?
Yes — branding, housing color and CCT can be discussed for private-label programs. Contact our sales team with your target quantity and we’ll confirm MOQ, sample lead time and pricing.
What payment terms and trade terms are available?
T/T and L/C are commonly used, with FOB, EXW or CIF shipping terms depending on your destination port. Get in touch for a formal proforma invoice.
