UP46S is the square counterpart to our round DOB panel light range — same PS light guide plate and SMD chip with a DOB integrated driver, housed in a lightweight plastic body, but in a square profile for projects that call for a squared ceiling grid look rather than round trims. The guide plate spreads light evenly across the whole face for a soft, uniform glow rather than a visible point source. Offered in 6W–24W, with OEM/ODM support for importers and lighting distributors.

Why a Light Guide Plate
Rather than exposing the SMD chip directly, UP46S channels light through a PS guide plate first — the same principle used in slim panel lighting to eliminate visible hot spots and give a flatter, more uniform light output across the face of the fixture.
DOB Integrated Driver
Driver-On-Board mounts the driver circuit directly to the light source PCB, so there’s no separate driver enclosure to wire in. That keeps the fixture profile slim and cuts down on the parts an installer has to handle per unit.

What’s the difference between UP46S and the round UP46R?
Same light engine and driver — PS guide plate, SMD chip, DOB driver — just a square trim instead of round. UP46S suits projects specified to a square ceiling grid or where fixtures need to align visually with square vents, sensors or switch plates.
How is UP46S installed?
UP46S mounts with a spring-loaded bracket that clips against the back of the ceiling board once the fixture is inserted into the cut-out — no additional screws or trim ring needed. Cut the hole to the size listed for your chosen wattage.
What’s the difference between this and a standard SMD downlight?
UP46S routes light through a PS guide plate before it reaches the diffuser, giving a flatter, more evenly lit face compared to a downlight where the SMD chips are visible directly behind the cover.
Is UP46S dimmable?
The standard version is non-dimmable. A dimmable driver can be arranged as a custom option — let us know your dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) when requesting a quote.
