Square Rimless LED Panel Light,
Built for Retrofit Jobs — UP7S
UP7S is the square version of our rimless panel light range — no visible trim ring, so it sits flush against the ceiling for a clean architectural finish that suits square grid layouts. Behind that flat face is an aluminum base cover for heat dissipation and an SMD light engine reaching up to 110LM/W efficacy. Each wattage also accepts a wide range of existing cut-out sizes, which matters most when you’re replacing an older square downlight housing rather than cutting a fresh hole. Offered in 9W–36W, with OEM/ODM support for importers, distributors and lighting contractors.
Datasheet at a Glance
Everything a buyer checks first — design, materials, driver behavior and optics — before requesting samples. Wattage-specific output figures and cut-out ranges are listed further down.
One Fixture, a Wide Range of Existing Hole Sizes
Square downlights get replaced just as often as round ones, and the same problem comes up — the old housing’s opening rarely matches a new fixture’s exact cut-out. UP7S’s spring-loaded mounting arms are built to grip a broad span of existing cut-outs per wattage: the 36W version, for example, covers anywhere from L/W50mm to L/W190mm. That’s a wide enough range to fit most legacy square downlight housings without cutting a new hole — worth confirming against your specific retrofit spec before ordering in volume.
A Flush Square Finish With Retrofit Flexibility
Rimless / Trimless Finish
No visible trim ring around the cover — the fixture sits flush against the ceiling for a cleaner architectural look, and the square edge suits a square ceiling grid layout.
Up to 110LM/W Efficacy
The 36W version reaches 110LM/W, ahead of the 70-80LM/W typical of standard SMD downlights — more light output per watt drawn on the circuit.
Aluminum + Plastic Build
An aluminum base cover handles heat dissipation while a plastic front cover keeps the fixture lightweight — a lighter, more shippable alternative to a full-aluminum body.
15°–45° Beam Angle
A narrower beam range than most flat panel lights, giving more directional control over where the light lands — useful for accenting rather than flooding a room evenly.
What’s Inside the Fixture
Three components a technical buyer usually asks about before approving a spec sheet.
Plastic Cover
A plastic front cover diffuses the SMD source for even output while keeping the visible face free of a raised trim ring, for the rimless look.
SMD Chip
The SMD light source sits directly behind the cover, delivering the fixture’s rated efficacy of up to 110LM/W depending on wattage.
ALU Base Cover
An aluminum base plate on the rear handles heat dissipation and carries the spring-loaded mounting arms used for installation.

Questions Buyers Usually Ask
Is there a square LED downlight that fits multiple existing cut-out sizes for a retrofit job?
Yes — UP7S’s spring-loaded mounting arms are built to grip a wide span of existing hole sizes per wattage rather than one fixed dimension, which is intended to make it easier to swap into legacy square downlight housings without cutting a new hole. Confirm the exact range against your project’s cut-outs before ordering in volume.
What’s the difference between UP7S and the round UP7R?
Same light engine, driver behavior and cut-out flexibility — the difference is purely the trim shape. UP7S suits projects specified to a square ceiling grid or where fixtures need to align visually with square vents, sensors or switch plates.
What does “rimless” mean on this fixture?
UP7S has no raised trim ring around the visible face — the cover sits flush with the ceiling surface for a cleaner, more architectural look compared to a downlight with a visible bezel.
Is UP7S dimmable?
The standard version is non-dimmable. A dimmable driver can be arranged as a custom option — let us know your dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) when requesting a quote.
Do you support OEM/ODM and small trial orders?
Yes — branding, housing color and CCT can be discussed for private-label programs. Contact our sales team with your target quantity and we’ll confirm MOQ, sample lead time and pricing.
What payment terms and trade terms are available?
T/T and L/C are commonly used, with FOB, EXW or CIF shipping terms depending on your destination port. Get in touch for a formal proforma invoice.
