UP46S Square DOB Panel Light
PS Light Guide Plate for Even, Diffused Illumination
UP46S is the square counterpart to our round DOB panel light range — same PS light guide plate and SMD chip with a DOB integrated driver, housed in a lightweight plastic body, but in a square profile for projects that call for a squared ceiling grid look rather than round trims. The guide plate spreads light evenly across the whole face for a soft, uniform glow rather than a visible point source. Offered in 6W–24W, with OEM/ODM support for importers and lighting distributors.
Datasheet at a Glance
Everything a buyer checks first — driver type, housing, optics and electrical spec — before requesting samples. Wattage-specific output figures and cut-out sizes are listed further down.
Slim Profile, Simple Wiring, Even Light
PS Light Guide Plate
Light from the SMD chip is spread edge-to-edge across a polystyrene guide plate, giving a soft, evenly diffused glow across the whole face rather than a visible point source.
DOB Integrated Driver
Driver circuitry is built onto the light source board, removing the external driver box. Fewer connection points, faster installation, and a slimmer overall profile.
Square Profile
A squared trim suits ceiling grids, linear layouts, and projects specified to match square air vents or switch plates — a straightforward swap alongside our round UP46R range.
Spring-Bracket Mounting
Spring-loaded mounting arms clip securely against the back of the ceiling board, giving a quick, tool-light installation without extra screws around the trim.
What’s Inside the Fixture
Three components a technical buyer usually asks about before approving a spec sheet.
PS Light Guide Plate
A polystyrene guide plate distributes light from the SMD source across the entire square face of the fixture, producing an even glow rather than a visible hot spot.
SMD Chip
The SMD light source sits behind the guide plate with the DOB driver on the same board, feeding light evenly into the diffusion layer.
Plastic Housing
A lightweight plastic body holds the light engine and pairs with the spring-loaded mounting bracket for a quick, secure recessed installation.
Guide Plate + DOB — What It Means for Your Project
Why a Light Guide Plate
Rather than exposing the SMD chip directly, UP46S channels light through a PS guide plate first — the same principle used in slim panel lighting to eliminate visible hot spots and give a flatter, more uniform light output across the face of the fixture.
DOB Integrated Driver
Driver-On-Board mounts the driver circuit directly to the light source PCB, so there’s no separate driver enclosure to wire in. That keeps the fixture profile slim and cuts down on the parts an installer has to handle per unit.
Wattage & Output Comparison

Typical production lead time runs from sample confirmation to shipment; exact scheduling depends on order volume and season.
Packaging & Shipping
Export-standard carton packaging with drop-test protection; FOB/EXW/CIF terms available on request.
Where UP46S Is Typically Specified
A slim profile and even, diffused output make it a straightforward fit across most standard indoor ceiling applications, particularly where a square grid or trim look is preferred.
Questions Buyers Usually Ask
What’s the difference between UP46S and the round UP46R?
Same light engine and driver — PS guide plate, SMD chip, DOB driver — just a square trim instead of round. UP46S suits projects specified to a square ceiling grid or where fixtures need to align visually with square vents, sensors or switch plates.
How is UP46S installed?
UP46S mounts with a spring-loaded bracket that clips against the back of the ceiling board once the fixture is inserted into the cut-out — no additional screws or trim ring needed. Cut the hole to the size listed for your chosen wattage.
What’s the difference between this and a standard SMD downlight?
UP46S routes light through a PS guide plate before it reaches the diffuser, giving a flatter, more evenly lit face compared to a downlight where the SMD chips are visible directly behind the cover.
Is UP46S dimmable?
The standard version is non-dimmable. A dimmable driver can be arranged as a custom option — let us know your dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) when requesting a quote.
Do you support OEM/ODM and small trial orders?
Yes — branding, housing color and CCT can be discussed for private-label programs. Contact our sales team with your target quantity and we’ll confirm MOQ, sample lead time and pricing.
What payment terms and trade terms are available?
T/T and L/C are commonly used, with FOB, EXW or CIF shipping terms depending on your destination port. Get in touch for a formal proforma invoice.
