A Rimless LED Ceiling Light
That Skips the Cut-Out Entirely — UP20R
Rimless usually means recessed — a flush trim set into a hole in the ceiling. UP20R keeps the clean, no-trim-ring look but screws straight onto the ceiling surface instead, so it works on concrete slabs, fire-rated ceilings and retrofit jobs where cutting isn’t an option. Behind that low-profile aluminum and plastic body is an SMD light engine reaching up to 110LM/W efficacy with a 15°–45° beam angle for more directional control than a typical flat panel light. Offered in 18W–48W, with OEM/ODM support for importers, distributors and lighting contractors sourcing a no-cut ceiling light supplier.

Everything a buyer checks first — mounting type, materials, optics and electrical spec — before requesting samples. Wattage-specific output figures are listed further down.
A No-Cut Ceiling Light With a Rimless Finish
A surface mounted rimless LED ceiling light for concrete ceilings and retrofit renovation solves two problems at once: it keeps the low-profile, no-bezel look of a recessed rimless fixture, without needing a hole cut into the ceiling to install it.
Rimless, Low-Profile Finish
No raised trim ring around the cover — even mounted on the surface, UP20R keeps a slim, clean-edged look rather than the bulkier bezel typical of surface-mount fixtures.
No Cutting Required
Screw-mount installation onto the ceiling surface — no hole cutting, no recess depth to plan for, and no risk of hitting rebar or conduit inside a concrete slab.
Up to 110LM/W Efficacy
The 36W and 48W versions reach 110LM/W, ahead of the 70-80LM/W typical of a standard SMD downlight — more light output per watt drawn on the circuit.
15°–45° Beam Angle
A narrower beam range than most flat panel lights, giving more directional control over where the light lands, even from a surface-mounted position.
What’s Inside the Fixture
Three components a technical buyer usually asks about before approving a spec sheet.
Plastic Cover
A plastic front cover diffuses the SMD source for even output while keeping the visible face free of a raised trim ring, for the rimless look.
SMD Chip
The SMD light source sits directly behind the cover, delivering the fixture’s rated efficacy of up to 110LM/W depending on wattage.
ALU Base Cover
An aluminum base plate on the rear handles heat dissipation and screws flush to the ceiling surface — no recess or cutting required.
Wattage & Output Comparison
UP20R is available in 18W, 24W, 36W and 48W. As a surface-mounted fixture there is no cut-out size to plan for — select by required overall diameter and target illuminance.
| Power | Efficacy | Luminous Flux | PF/DF | Beam Angle | Overall Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 18W | 100 LM/W | 1800 LM | 0.5/0.7 | 15°–45° | Φ120×H42mm |
| 24W | 100 LM/W | 2400 LM | 0.5/0.7 | 15°–45° | Φ170×H42mm |
| 36W | 110 LM/W | 3960 LM | 0.9/0.9 | 15°–45° | Φ220×H42mm |
| 48W | 110 LM/W | 5280 LM | 0.9/0.9 | 15°–45° | Φ300×H42mm |

Where UP20R Is Typically Specified
Best suited to ceilings where recessed installation isn’t an option — concrete or solid slabs, retrofit renovation, and fire-rated or low-clearance ceilings — while still wanting a low-profile, rimless appearance.
Questions Buyers Usually Ask
Can a rimless LED ceiling light be installed without cutting the ceiling?
Yes — that’s what UP20R is built for. Instead of recessing into a hole, its aluminum base plate screws directly onto the ceiling surface, while the plastic cover still sits without a raised trim ring for a clean, low-profile look. It’s a common approach for concrete slabs, fire-rated ceilings and retrofit jobs.
What’s the difference between UP20R and the recessed UP7R?
Same rimless design philosophy and similar light engine, but UP20R mounts on the ceiling surface instead of recessing into a cut hole. Choose UP7R when you can cut a hole and want a fully flush finish; choose UP20R when the ceiling can’t be cut.
Why is the efficacy higher than a standard SMD ceiling light?
The 36W and 48W versions are rated up to 110LM/W, compared with the 70-80LM/W typical of a standard SMD fixture in our range — meaning more usable light output for the same electrical input at these wattages.
Is UP20R dimmable?
The standard version is non-dimmable. A dimmable driver can be arranged as a custom option — let us know your dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) when requesting a quote.
Do you support OEM/ODM and small trial orders?
Yes — branding, housing color and CCT can be discussed for private-label programs. Contact our sales team with your target quantity and we’ll confirm MOQ, sample lead time and pricing.
What payment terms and trade terms are available?
T/T and L/C are commonly used, with FOB, EXW or CIF shipping terms depending on your destination port. Get in touch for a formal proforma invoice.
