Recommendation: Add the Curved Crystal RGB Bulkhead Light to the Approved Vendor List
This memo summarizes findings from a recent sample review of a new bulkhead light variant, distinguished primarily by a domed rather than flat frame profile. Recommendation below is to add it to the shortlist for hospitality and villa exterior projects pending confirmation of the open items listed in Section 4.
The fixture shares its electrical platform, a 20W crystal front panel plus a 20W RGB ring, with two previous fixtures already on our approved list. What distinguishes this unit is a curved outer frame rather than a flat one, which changes both its physical presence on a wall and how the crystal lens reflects ambient light when unpowered. Given no cost premium was indicated for the curved tooling, this is a straightforward addition rather than a new category decision.
1What Changed
The frame profile is domed across its outer ring instead of flat. On the round version this reads as a rounder, more substantial fixture from an angle. On the ellipse version, the curvature runs the length of the body, which is visible in Sample B above as two distinct highlight points across the lens surface, a direct result of the curved geometry catching light differently than a flat lens would.

- Retail and F&B feature walls: RGB ring gives design teams a color changing option without switching to a different fixture family.
4Open Items Before Bulk Order Approval
- Confirm exact IP moisture rating in writing, not inferred from “moisture proof” on the spec sheet.
- Confirm RGB ring control method, remote, wall panel, or app, and whether it differs from prior fixture families we have sourced.
- Request CB, CE, or destination market certification documentation specific to this SKU.
- Confirm whether the curved tooling changes carton dimensions or loading quantity per container versus the flat profile version.
Recommend proceeding to sample order stage in both shapes and frame colors, with bulk quantity approval held until Section 4 items are closed.
